Hey everyone!
Today, we are thrilled to share our latest DIY project that we have been working on these days – these utterly charming pinecone Christmas trees!
Why We Love This Project
There’s something so special about bringing nature indoors during the holiday season, and these pinecone trees are the perfect way to do that. They are budget-friendly, fully customizable, and make for fantastic tiny decorations to spruce up your desks, shelves, or even as part of your festive table centerpieces.
How We Made Them
- Gather the Goods: We collected sturdy pinecones, acrylic craft paint in festive hues like vibrant green, classic red, deep blue and regal purple, some wooden discs as bases, glittery star toppers, fluffy pom-poms and strong craft glue.
- Time to Paint: We laid out some newspaper and carefully painted each pinecone, making sure to cover all the scales evenly. We let them dry completely before moving on to the next step.
- Assemble: We glued the painted pinecones securely onto the wooden discs. After that, we had fun decorating them with the colorful pom-poms, sticking them on the gaps between the scales. Finally, we topped each little tree with the sparkling golden star.
Final Thoughts
The whole process was so much fun and seeing these little trees come to life was incredibly rewarding. They add such a cozy and whimsical touch to any space, and we think they would make amazing handmade gifts as well.
We hope you feel inspired to try making these pinecone Christmas trees yourself! Let us know if you give this craft a go!
