How to make a pipe cleaner poppy?
Follow bellow steps, you will get your own poppy flowers to make your spring home decor.
Step 1: Get the materials prepared.
To make 1pc of poppy flower, you will need
10pcs of 6mmx30cm sized macaroon color pipe cleaners
2pcs of yellow pipe cleaner
4pcs of green color pipe cleaners
1pc of floral stem wire
1pc of green floral tape
Tool: You will also need the glue gun
Step 2: Make the Petals.
Each of the poppy will have 4 petals in 2 sizes.
The small petal will need 1x20cm + 5x10cm pipe cleaners
The large one will need 1x20cm+6x10cm pipe cleaners
So, just cut the 10x30cm pipe cleaners into 4x20cm +22x10cm
Then ,use the 10cm pipe cleaner scroll on to the 20cm ones like the photo shows to make the petals.
Step 3: Make the bud.
We need 1pc of bud , could use 2 green pipe cleaners to make it.
Cut 1pc into 2x15cm to make 2 short leaves
Use the other one to make 1 long leaf and then glue them together as a bud.
Use the floral tape to roll up the stem.
Step 4: Make the leaf.
Use the other 2pcs of green pipe cleaners to make 1pc of poppy leaf.

Step 5: Make the stamen.
Use the 2 yellow pipe cleaners, 1 to be circled into round shape as stigmas , the other to be cut into 4-6pcs and use scissor to shape them as stamens. You could also use the artificial yellow stamens directly instead.
Step 6: Assemble the petals + bud + leaf.
Use the glue gun to assemble the 4 petals. Please note that the 2 small petals and the 2 large one need to be glue oppositely. Then use the tape to roll up the stem, first the bud, then the leaf. Make sure that the bud will be a little bit higher than the flower.
Step 7: Assemble the flower center.
Finally to assemble the flower center, firstly the stamens ,then the stigmas.
The flower is ready for your spring home decor or as a gift to your loved ones.
